Just when you think you can rely on them; they fail.
Dear Mr. Flintoff's knee,
Please start working again. Just for the summer, and then you can self-combust.
Yours Sincerely,
NWG.
Back to other business: the Lord's squad.
Harmison has a good record at Lord's against Australia. Anyone remember scarface? Surely he will play and Monty will be dropped.
Surely?
NWG will be at Lord's on Thursday. She's not sure if this is a good thing or a bad thing. She is already nervous.

Why will Monty be dropped?
Because that's the way of the world, Stani.
With Flintoff doubtful for second Test, its more likely that Harmy will replace Freddie. But then the already wafer thin batting line up becomes even more thinner !
You mean his face doesn't fit NMG?
no, Stani, because he's not 6'5 and a seam bowler. If he can grow that tall in the space of two days, then all the best to him.
Neither is Swann.
Nerves are good NWG. They help you perform at your best. Keep you on your toes. Channel that nervous energy and make England win.
D, NWG is really unsure how she will cope. Should she just drink copious amounts of beer all day and try and block out the spectacle, or just accept she will be nervous and bring a crossword to distract her?
if england are batting, i suggest taking some sedatives before the innings starts. a steady intake of beer throughout the innings will keep you sanguine and tranquil while all heck breaks loose on the field, and you can wake the next morning and wonder if the collapse really happened. no england fan should have to watch their team without having a large supply of alcohol to calm them.
some of us are battle hardened from cricket watching in the 80s and 90s.
a green tea will suffice
It would be nice if Harmy was there with Onions and Fred - but somehow I doubt the selectors could be that inspirational.
Thursday could be a very long day..
