KP And General Anaesthetic

Of all the times to have an operation.

Why this summer?

Why this week?

Why now?

If KP's ankle has been bothering him since the IPL, why didn't he have the operation months ago?

NWG is very disappointed in the England team.

(But she's having a great time on holiday, in a country where cricket is frowned upon and the weather is far more reliable.)

So sad....and worser news is that Bell is replacing him.....

I pity KP.....poor guy missing out on the biggest thing in world cricket....

Where did you go NWG?

Odd he had an achilles operation, because the ECB told us it was a back problem that gave shadow pain in his achilles...

If he didin't have it now, his achilles woulda snapped which would have meant 8 months out and returning to never quite the same.

You got something against the word 'achilles' NMG?

Dr on cricinfo says the op is only required in 5% of cases. It was only right to try other treatments first but unfortunately for KP, they didnt work.

I say unfortunately, but reading KP's interviews, he seems happy. Maybe he's grateful he can spend some time with his wife. Understandable I suppose.

America? Greece? Italy? Am I in the right hemisphere? Wales?!?!

NWG is still on holiday, she's just very clever and bought her laptop so she is never far away from cricket news.

Ian Bell's inclusion could either be genius, or he'll score a total of 15 runs for the series. The only advantage to Bell is his fielding. He is pretty handy. Which is reassuring. NWG wishes him the best of luck.

Stani - you may be right. But NWG is definitely not in Wales. She had to get on a plane.

I would never have thought of taking my laptop.

Bell has quite a few centuries for someone who's criticised so much. He'll do better in the remaining 3 than KP did in the first 2.

So I was right or not? Get on a plane? Can you stop giving such obvious clues please.

I expect a prize for getting it right. I don't care if it's not a competition.

Ian Bell, Rob Key - how about Jonathan Trott?

The Nightwatchgirl said...

Ok. Some clues:

It's hot,

NWG's plane journey lasted longer than 3 hours.

She is suffering from jet lag (still - curses).

They have internet everywhere.

That's all you get Stani. Find NWG.

Sixsixeight: Trott is too random now. Bell has at least been in an Ashes side, albeit he didn't do that well (but who remembers that great close catch? NWG can't remember where it was but it was brilliant). But then he did do well in the warm up games against Australia.

Who knows?

Bloody hell. Right, approx 3 hour journey on a plane traveling about 550 mph; that's a distance of about 1650 miles.

So can't be to America as the Atlantic's wider than that. Can't be Asia or middle East as they are too far. Could be Africa but free internet is unlikely so must be somewhere in Europe except for South London cos that's a s**thole and no would go on holiday there.

Wales? No?

Crete? Has to be Crete cos you wouldn't go Turkey due to your lack of interest in multiculturalism.

Well? What's my prize? Don't be stingy as usual NMG. Open your heart, find that inner altruist.

Stani - NWG would give you a prize, except you're wrong. NWG is not in Crete. She's a lot further away than that. Note that she said it was a plane journey longer than three hours, not lasting three hours.

Altruism is a falsehood and doesn't exist. Sorry to burst any bubbles.

Stani Army said...

No bubbles burst here. So why do you say it's a falsehood? Because you've never shown it?

Stani Army said...

Hmmm, ignored, again.

Florida?

Rob - good shout.

I love the place, I nearly went for 10 weeks this year. I went to Spain instead - not *quite* as hot but easier to manage.
