Lord's Day One

NWG had a lovely day yesterday. The sun was out, the rain stayed away and she was seated in a stand with padded seats. Oh the luxury.

But it was Andrew Strauss that made NWG's day. Aside from Alastair Cook, the other England batsmen seemed slightly distracted with the job in hand.

England need a minimum 450 today, otherwise things look slightly doubtful. Although the weather looks like it will play an important part. Rain today, rain tomorrow and then who knows if there'll be enough time to finish the game.

NWG's highlight was seeing a misfield by Ricky Ponting, with the ball going straight through his legs.

Her lowlight was when she was leaving. Having made friends with all around her, aside from one man, she was saying her goodbyes as she moved down towards the exit. When, as if she had gone back in time to the 1950s, this man, whom she hadn't spoken to, pinched her bum.

And wrong.

These little things....

Maybe he was checking if you had one. The padded seats probably gave him reason to doubt.

Seems like you enjoyed it anyway...otherwise you wouldn't have told us.

NWG didn't enjoy it. She is trying to make a point that it is not ok to go round pinching girl's arses. It's 2009 for heaven's sake.

Real gentlemen know this. As for the rest, they won't change will they NMG?

I take it you smacked him across the face?

Bloody hell NWG! That is unbelievable. Did you give him a smack? Or take him to the police?

Blimey, that is out of order. Maybe a quick "stop that you silly little man" would have done the trick?

NWG did tell him off and to be fair, his friend looked mortified. Quite rightly.

Should NWG have gone to the police or poured his champagne over his head?

Champagne - much more classy and humiliating. Then report him to the police.

Good point D. If there is a next time (hopefully there won't be), that's what she'll do.

Thanks for the advice.
