It's Not So Bad

It means that the Oval will be a good game.

Stuart Broad can bat.

So can Graeme Swann.

That's about it.

Good to see the six wickets haul from Broad in the first innings too. He's taken eight in his last two innings with half centuries in both tests. Could be turning into a proper Test all-rounder.

Now about that three batsman ...

Cook, Bopara and Collingwood need a good talking to. NWG hopes they will be off playing for their counties before the Oval and see if they can remember how to bat. Bopara, NWG believes, should be dropped for Trott. The Oval demands millions of runs, and England just cannot have another batting performance like this again. It's getting serious.

NWG already has that nervous anxiety feeling you get before a parachute jump or similar.
