I'm So Tired

Poor Ricky.

He's tired.

The poor Australian captain has just been through too much stress.

That's what losing does to you.

NWG prescribes rest, relaxation, possibly some barbecues and several weeks worth of watching Neighbours. It has a powerful effect on the brain.

Hopefully Michael Clarke will have more luck against Pakistan.

Or not....

Shane Warne is Cricket Counsellor

Shane Warne is much more than just a cricketer. He is now the team go-to guy. Homesick? Talk to Warney. Overwhelmed? Talk to Warney? Want a Magherita pizza? Talk to Warney.

He just loves his team mates.

He wants them "to go out there and play cricket as equals," (instead of odd numbers, that would be confusing) their team room "is decorated with an Indian feel [with] Indian food on the table and pictures on the wall." They've even been invited to an Indian restaurant for their team meal.

Well done Warney, for making South Africa a home away from home.

Cricket On A Wednesday?

NWG is generally very busy, going here, there and everywhere, but today she spent a very enjoyable hour at The Oval.

And it was lovely.

The sun was out. There was actual cricket being played. And although nothing incredibly exciting happened, NWG was grateful to be sitting in the stands and seeing the game.

Hurrah for summer.

One new addition at The Oval were the permanent lights. They are huge. And hopefully will illuminate when the time comes.

Australia Felled

Well, it comes to something when Australia lose a series. Again.

This is almost becoming a habit. With perfect timing.

Now NWG isn't a maths whiz, or someone who can work out probability and that kind of thing. But surely, if South Africa beat Australia in a Test series at home and South Africa beat England at home, then doesn't that mean that England have as good a chance as any team in beating Australia?

And also, does it not mean, that as England beat South Africa in the ODI last summer, that England can also beat Australia in the ODI series?

Just putting it out there.

You never know.

Relax. The Cricket This Summer Is Going To Be Fine

The MCC team, tipped to be out to impress selectors, filled with England's top (?) batsmen made a very respectable start to their summer.

Key - 5 runs.
Vaughan - 12 runs.
Bell - 12 runs.

NWG can see the Aussie's quaking in their bowling shoes this very second.
